The Garrison eatery/sports memorabilia museum on Route 9 announced on its Facebook page Saturday that it closing after 18 years.

No reason was given for the closure. The Stadium was known for having such items like the first ever Heisman Trophy, Mickey Mantle's Triple Crown Trophy, a 1955 Brooklyn Dodgers World Series ring and much more.

"Many memories and great times have taken place here at The Stadium for the past 18.5 years, and that has to do with our amazing staff, and our loyal and dedicated customers," the Facebook post said. "We thank you for sharing in our special days here, and for making The Stadium a part of your lives for all these years."

Patrons were shocked by the closure.

"This is one of the hardest posts to read," Keith Froehlich commented. "So many birthdays I have spent here and brought new friends here. When I lived in Cortlandt Manor, this was always the place I wanted to visit. I wish you the best of luck."

Many reminisced about all the special times they had at The Stadium.

"My wife and I have been coming to the stadium from day one," Anthony Antonazzo said. We have been coming to the stadium since my daughter was in my wife's womb. My cousin had her first date with my best friend there and a couple of years later my friend proposed at The Stadium at the same table they met."
