NORTH SALEM, N.Y. -- The town of North Salem is working with the Croton Falls business community to enhance the attractiveness of the hamlet.
On Sept. 5, two trees were replaced at the corner of Front and Center streets; and Superintendent of Highways Ward Hanaburgh is having new benches installed and old ones reconditioned.
At the urging of local businesses, trash bins were moved.
Plus, the Improvement Society added flowering shrubs to one of the planting areas on Front Street.
In addition, Hanaburgh has contracted for resurfacing roads in that area.
