Twitter Is Planning Widespread Layoffs, Reports Say

Layoffs by Twitter’s new CEO could come as soon as early this week, according to multiple reports.

Cofounder Jack Dorsey was named CEO just last week and has a financial crisis to fix, the New York Times said.

Since going public in 2013, its stock struggled to stay above its $26 IPO. Twitter has 4,100 employees in more than 35 offices, according to newyorktimes.com.
