Annual St. James Chili Cook-Off To Heat Up North Salem

NORTH SALEM, N.Y. – Save your appetites, North Salem: The 4th Annual St. James Chili Cook-Off is coming up, and chili lovers will be asked to taste a dozen and vote for the best.

The chili categories are Traditional Beef Without Beans, Meat (beef and/or pork) with Beans and miscellaneous types, such as Poultry Chili, and Meatless Chili. Beer, soft drinks, hot dogs and desserts will also be plentiful and live music, prizes and kids’ games will fill out the entertainment.

The happening will be at the St. James Parish Hall on Saturday, April 13, from 6 to 9 p.m. Tasting and judging will take place between 6 and 8 p.m. All votes must be in by 8 p.m.

The suggested donation for all you can eat and drink is $20 for adults, $10 for children under 12.

St. James Episcopal Church is at the intersection of June and Titicus Roads in North Salem.
