Grand Opening Set For New Croton Falls Firehouse

CROTON FALLS, N.Y. -- Roughly a year after breaking ground on a new firehouse, Croton Falls firefighters will hold a grand opening on Saturday, Nov. 7.

The ceremony is scheduled to start at 10 a.m.

The new firehouse is located at 1 Sun Valley Drive, which is near the interchanges with Route 22 and Interstate 684. It was previously used as a storage building for Verizon before it was purchased for renovation into a new firehouse.

The new firehouse will replace the old building, which is located in downtown Croton Falls. The increasing size of newer firetrucks has been cited as necessitating a larger building.
