Snow Falls in Harrison, Roads Are Clear

HARRISON, N.Y. - Residents waking up early on Saturday morning will be of the first to notice a fresh coat of white outside after the early morning snow that fell throughout the area. Though snow had stuck to colder surfaces, most roads seemed to have survived with only a damp coating of melted snow.

Snow began after 10 p.m. Friday, according to the National Weather Service, with an accumulation of one to three inches. The snow fell through the night and was expected to continue until about 1 p.m. Saturday, with an additional one to three inches possible. The chance of precipitation through Saturday remain around 80 percent.

There was no significant damage or road issues reported by the Harrison Police Department Saturday morning.

Saturday night forecasters were calling for a chance of snow showers with wind gusts of up to 26 miles per hour.

There is also a 20 percent chance of snow showers on Sunday.
