Robert James Rathgeb, 94, Of Park Ridge

PARK RIDGE, N.J. – Robert James Rathgeb, a resident of Park Ridge, died Saturday, Feb.27. He was 94.

Before retiring, Rathgeb had been a sales executive for Bendix Corp. in Tereboro for 41 years. In addition, he was a United States Marine Corp Veteran of World War II, a parishioner of Our Lady of Mercy R. C. Church, an usher, a member of the Nocturnal Adoration Society and a founding member of Our Lady of Fatima, and Knights of Columbus Chapter 4486.

He is survived by his wife, Carol; son, Robert Rathgeb and his wife, Mary; son, John Rathge and his husband, Alan Chadrjian; and daughter, Carolyn Bogacz and her husband, Edward. He is also survived by his sister, Florence Kushler; brother, William, and brother, John Rathgeb; grandfather of Kelsey and Justin Sheridan; Sophie Bogacz and Nicholas Gabriel.

He was predeceased by his sisters, Ruth Oravetz and Gladys Callow.

Funeral Mass will be at 11:30 a.m., on Saturday, March, at Our Lady of Mercy R.C. Church in Park Ridge. Interment will be at George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus.
