Jewelry Making, Family Fun Top North Salem Library Events

NORTH SALEM, N.Y. -- The Ruth Keeler Memorial Library has a few different activities on tap this weekend, including duct-tape jewelry on Saturday, July 23, and a Family Fun Event on Sunday, July 24.

Local art teacher Jen Armbruster will be leading a duct-tape jewelry session on Saturday, from 10-11:30 p.m. "Bring your creativity and we will bring the supplies for you to make fun and funky jewelry from paper clips and duct tape," organizers note.

This session is for kids 10 and up, and adults. Call the library at 914-669-5162 or email keelerlibrary@wlsmail.org to register.

Also on Saturday, the library is hosting a Charlie and Lola Party, from 3-4 p.m. The party, for kids ages 4-8, will feature games, crafts and food based on the books by Lauren Child. Call the library at 914-669-5161 or email keelerlibrary@wlsmail.org to register.

Sunday, from 4-6 p.m., a Family Fun Event is coming to the library. Bring a blanket and a picnic. In addition to games and refreshments, the event will feature live music by Eric Pooley and his band, Goat Rodeo.

No registration is required. The evening's activities are funded by the Friends of the Library and M&T Bank.
