NewYork-Presbyterian’s participation will be led by Dr. Laura L. Forese, president of the NewYork-Presbyterian Healthcare System, who will deliver the keynote address, “Amazing Things are Happening Here: Westchester Redefining the Provider Landscape,” during the luncheon on Tuesday.

“We are pleased to have been invited to take part in such an important conference,” Forese said. “As NewYork-Presbyterian expands in Westchester with the addition of NewYork-Presbyterian/Lawrence Hospital and NewYork-Presbyterian/Hudson Valley Hospital, we have made a significant commitment to the region. And with new technological innovations in healthcare emerging on an almost daily basis, this conference allows us to help guide professionals in Westchester’s highly educated workforce on career paths in an industry that is rapidly evolving.”

More than 600 professionals in healthcare, health tech, bio tech and related fields are expected to attend the two-day conference run by the Westchester County Association at the DoubleTree Hotel in Tarrytown.

Among many important topics, attendees will learn about opportunities in a $15 billion industry in the Westchester region that generates thousands of jobs, more and more of them in information technology.

Other participants from NewYork-Presbyterian include:

Shaun E. Smith, vice president of human resources, NewYork-Presbyterian Healthcare System; Dr. Anjali Chelliah, assistant professor of pediatrics, Division of Pediatric Cardiology, NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Medical Center; Aurelia G. Boyer, senior vice president and chief information officer, NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital.

NewYork-Presbyterian doctors and administrators are bringing their expertise to Westchester as the healthcare system greatly expands its care into the County. Over the past year, NewYork-Presbyterian has become the active parent to NewYork-Presbyterian/Lawrence Hospital in Bronxville and NewYork-Presbyterian/Hudson Valley Hospital in Cortlandt Manor.

The healthcare system’s influence on medical care in the region can already be seen with the recent opening of the NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory at NewYork-Presbyterian/Lawrence Hospital.
