North Salem Historical Society's Annual Meeting Focuses On Croton Falls

NORTH SALEM, N.Y. -- The North Salem Historical Society will hold its annual meeting on Friday, Oct. 28, beginning at 6 p.m. at the new Croton Falls Firehouse.

This year's presentation, “Croton Falls, From Bustling Center to Quiet Hamlet,” will be a compilation of reminiscences delivered by longtime residents who grew up in the area.

The event will include a slide show, historical photos and memorabilia depicting the unique history of the town.

Cocktail hour begins at 6 p.m., and a potluck supper will be served an hour later.

The meeting will start at 8 p.m.

Members of the historical society will be admitted free. The fee for nonmembers is $25 per family. Paying attendees will be added to the membership list.

Raffle tickets will be available for a balloon ride over North Salem. The drawing will be held at the meeting.

Space is limited. Those who wish to attend are asked to RSVP by Monday, Oct. 17. To reserve a slot, send an email to northsalemhistoricalsociety@gmail.com.
