North Salem's Aybar Leads Workshop For Cancer Patients, Survivors, Families

NORTH SALEM, N.Y. -- The Ruth Keeler Memorial Library is set to host North Salem resident Susie Aybar for a special writing workshop.

The program "Healing Through Writing" runs from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Dec. 20, Jan. 17, Feb. 21 and March 14. The program is a writing workshop for people touched by cancer, including patients, survivors and family members. No writing experience is necessary and all are welcome. There is no registration and drop-ins are encouraged.

The program is led by Susie Aybar, who holds a BA in Psychology, a BS in nursing, and an MFA in Creative Writing. Her poem "Renaissance 1994" won Inkwell's MAW Poetry Contest.
