There will be an evening preview cocktail party at 6:30 p.m. Friday, May 8 with a cooks and books party. The $50 admission includes:
- Open bar with a selection of fine wines and beer.
- Hors d'oeuvres from some of North Salem's finest chefs.
- First chance to buy some of the thousands of books before the fair opens to the public.
- Live music with Martin Aronchick and Richard Brooker of Chick's Candy Outlet.

The library fair will be held Saturday, May 9 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Activities include a used book sale until 5 p.m., a plant sale until 3 p.m., a pet contest and more.
All remaining books will be sold for half price Sunday, May 10 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
