The Tech-Wise Guys : North Salem's robotic team will be competing at John F. Kennedy Catholic High School in Somers against 23 other high school teams. It is competing for the chance to earn a place in the Hudson Valley first robotics championship next month at Pace University. Saturday, Jan. 25 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Author Talk and Book Signing by Dick Button: Join the library to meet the author and have a glass of wine. Dick Button, North Salem resident and winner of two Olympic gold medals in figure skating, award-winning sports broadcaster and graduate of Harvard and Harvard Law School will talk about his new book, "Push Dick's Button: A Conversation on Skating from a Good Part of the Last Century--and a Little Tomfoolery." Sunday, Feb. 9 at 3 p.m.

Seniors Book Club: Tuesday, March 11 at 12:30 p.m. at the NS Fire Dept on 274 Titicus Rd. The book to be discussed is Rules of Civility by Amor Towles. Open to the public. It will begin immediately after the meeting at the firehouse.
Healing through Writing: A workshop for those touched by cancer. Healing through Writing is a writing workshop for people touched by cancer: patients, survivors and family members. It will meet at the library from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., on Friday, Feb. 21 and Friday, March 14. All are welcome and drop-ins are encouraged. This workshop will be led by Susie Aybar, award-winning poet.
