Westchester Native's Art Featured At North Salem's Schoolhouse Gallery

NORTH SALEM, N.Y. – The landscape artwork of a Westchester Wnative and long-time artist will be displayed throughout the month at the Schoolhouse Theater and Gallery.

The Schoolhouse Theater exhibit, “Light in the World: A Collection of Paintings” by Michael Patterson, will be available for public viewing until Nov. 30.

Patterson, a SUNY Purchase graduate, has been a painter for more than 35 years.

He was born into a family of artists, including his grandfather Howard Ashman Patterson, and his brother David Burns Patterson. All three Pattersons have focused on creating landscape art.

Michael Patterson’s work is featured in more than 500 collections in North America and Europe.

The Schoolhouse Theater and Gallery is at Three Owens Road in Croton Falls.

Exhibit hours are 10 a.m.-3 p.m., Monday through Friday, and 2-5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
