Caregivers Coffee & Chat: 10:30 a.m. Nannies, au pairs, moms, dads, grandparents and other caregivers are invited to get together for coffee or tea and meet other caregivers. It’s at the Ruth Keeler Memorial Library, 276 Titicus Road, North Salem.
Fundamentals of Charcoal Drawing: 12:30 p.m. Artist Mark Cassata is teaching a four-week workshop for adults at the Somers Library about creating art with charcoal. This is the third class. The final class is Jan. 25. It’s at the Somers Library, 82 Primrose St., Somers and is open to North Salem residents. To register call 914- 232-5717. You will receive a list of required supplies.
Quiver, Quaver: 1:30 to 4 p.m. A two-part workshop and lecture about essential tremor, a neurological disorder that causes hands to shake, heads to bob and voices to quaver. The first part will center on tai chi instruction with expert George Chen. The second part will be a discussion among those who attend with a Q&A session. There is no charge but a $10 donation is requested for the tai chi session. It’s at the Somers Library, 82 Primrose St. (in Reis Park), Somers.

Conversation With Local Gardeners: 10 a.m. Bring your questions and share ideas with expert local gardeners. There is no registration and the program is free. Ruth Keeler Memorial Library, 276 Titicus Road, North Salem. Note: This event was rescheduled from Jan. 12.
Learn to Knit: 1 to 3 p.m. If you would like to brush up on your old skills or you are a beginner, you can learn the basics from a knitting professional. The workshop is free but there is a small fee for supplies. It’s for ages eight and up. Registration is required, so call 914-864-7286. Muscoot Farm, Route 100, 1½ miles south of Route 35 in Somers.
