Caregivers Coffee and Chat: 10:30 a.m. Nannies, au pairs, moms, dads, grandparents and other caregivers are invited to get together for coffee or tea and meet other caregivers. Ruth Keeler Memorial Library, 276 Titicus Road, North Salem.
Fundamentals of Charcoal Drawing: 12:30 p.m. Artist Mark Cassata will teach a four-week workshop for adults at the Somers Library about creating art with charcoal. This is the second class. Scrapbooking 101: 1 to 3 p.m. Learn scrapbooking techniques from Muscoot’s scrapbook guru, Joan Ackerman. Start an album or make your own greeting cards. Designed for children ages 10 and up. Paper Crafts and Cards: 1 to 3 p.m. Spend a winter afternoon cutting, folding and listening to stories as you make a snowflake or a hat. It’s family fun for all ages. Muscoot Farm, Route 100, 1½ miles south of Route 35, Somers.
Attracting Birds in Winter: 2 p.m. Discover the joys of feeding birds this winter by learning which plantings attract birds to your landscape, as well as which feeders are best and what type of seeds attract various birds. Lasdon Park and Arboretum, Route 35, Somers.
