Caregivers Coffee & Chat: 10:30 a.m. Nannies, au pairs, moms, dads, grandparents and other caregivers are invited to get together for coffee or tea and meet other caregivers. Ruth Keeler Memorial Library, 276 Titicus Road, North Salem.

Girl Scout Talent Show: 7:15 p.m. Celebrate Girl Scout World Thinking Day with North Salem Daisies, Brownies, Juniors and Cadettes. Troop photos start at 6:30 p.m. followed by the talent show at 7:15 p.m. General admission is $5 per person; reserved premium seating is $10 per person. Inventors’ Club: 10 a.m. Learn about the design process, solve problems creatively and see what inventing is all about. The program, led by Eileen Diehl, is geared to children in grades two to five. Ambulance Corps Winter Gala: 6 to 11 p.m. Help buy a new ambulance for the North Salem Volunteer Ambulance Corps. The cocktail hour starts at 6 p.m., followed by a buffet dinner at 7 p.m. Dancing, music, entertainment and a silent auction will fill out the night. Tapping the Sugar Maples: 1 to 3 p.m. Join the farmers of Muscoot Farm and learn how to tap the maple trees that provide the sweet sap for maple syrup. Route 100, 1½ miles south of Route 35, Somers. (Weather permitting.)
Starting Seeds Indoors: 2 p.m. Get a head start on your spring planting and save money by learning about the timing and techniques for starting annuals, perennials, vegetables and herbs indoors, for later transplanting to your garden. Participants will plant seeds and take them home. Lasdon Park & Arboretum, Route 35, Somers.
Phil Rosenthal: 3 p.m. Thanks to the Friends of the Library and a grant from M&T Bank, the singer, songwriter, recording artist and record producer will make a personal appearance at the Ruth Keeler Library, 276 Titicus Road, North Salem.
