The partnership between the company and the food bank was kicked off at a breakfast last month. The food bank provides food to more than 200,000 county residents through soup kitchens, food pantries, emergency shelters, along with day care and senior care facilities.

Last year, the food bank distributed more than 7.5 million pounds of food throughout the county. Officials said this year the number may reach 8 million pounds.

Food bank officials say working with corporate partners allows them to turn every dollar donated into $4 worth of fresh food. For more details about the food bank, visit its website.
