Rattner, who owns a horse farm in North Salem, turns 64 today, July 5.
He works as the economic analyst for MSNBC's "Morning Joe" and as a contributing writer for The New York Times' Op-Ed page.
The financier served as lead adviser to the Presidential Task Force on the Auto Industry in 2009 and was a managing principal of the Quadrangle Group, which is a private equity investment firm with a specialty in media and communications.
Rattner also was an investment banker for Lehman Brothers, Morgan Stanley and Lazard Freres & Co.
