Curtis Instruments, the privately-held international instruments and controllers manufacturer headquartered in Mount Kisco, has provided support in 2016 and beyond with a generous gift to Northern Westchester Hospital. The donation is designated to benefit the Ken Hamilton Care Givers Center as well as the Community Health Education and Outreach program.

As the hospital celebrates 100 years of care, it's fitting that continued collaboration with the community has grown through the generosity of Westchester’s most notable businesses.

“Curtis Instruments is active in the local community,” said Stuart Marwell, President & CEO of Curtis Instruments. “Our sponsorship of NWH's 100-Year celebration is an important part of that effort. The company’s colleagues have been integrally involved with this hospital over generations – from employees and their loved ones who were born there, to medical treatments or other interactions with the hospital."

Community partnerships have always been a part NWH’s history. “From the very beginning, the hospital has been shaped by the community’s generosity,” said Keeva Young-Wright, President of the Northern Westchester Hospital Foundation. “The 15 bed Mount Kisco Hospital, which is where NWH began 100 years ago, was built after ten years of fundraising.” Since then, “many thousands of community members and organizations have collectively given millions of dollars to ensure that NWH has continued to evolve into the extraordinary healthcare facility that it is today.”

NWH receives almost 5,000 donations each year, ranging from one dollar to, in some cases, several million. The hospital’s Centennial was an opportune time for Curtis Instrument to support and applaud NWH for the important role it plays in the community. “As one of the top hospitals nationwide, we are privileged to have such a super medical facility right here in Mount Kisco." said Marwell.
