The duo lived on a large farm in North Salem until their owner passed away and they were left with nowhere else to go.

“Senior dogs can sometimes be a challenge to get adopted. Now imagine being asked to bring in two seniors that are bonded and must be adopted together,” said Jennifer Angelucci, president and CEO of Paws Crossed, an animal rescue operation that took in the dogs. “However, as soon as we met Rocky and Baxter, there was no question that these dogs were coming to Paws Crossed. They are adorable and quite the characters.”

Both of the dogs have suffered from Lyme disease and sometimes have a flare-up of general stiffness or swelling of joints. They would do best in a house with no children and have to be the only dogs.
