NORTH SALEM, N.Y. -- Alyssa Paesano, former competitor and finalist at the Cheerleading World Championships will host a cheerleading clinic for boys and girls ages 7-14 over four days in the Pequenakonck Elementary School Gym.
The clinic will be held from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 20, Monday Dec. 23, Thursday Dec. 26, and Friday Dec. 27
The clinic teaches young athletes the basics of cheerleading while giving them a fun and exciting experience. This clinic will cover all aspects of cheerleading, including motions, cheer, dance, jumps, stunts, tumbling, and strength and conditioning as well as the proper technique to use while doing all of these things. Participants will be encouraged to set goals and pushed to achieve them over the course of the clinic.
Both experienced cheerleaders and newcomers are welcome.
The cost of the clinic is $100 per participant for a total of four three-hour sessions.
Paesano is a current University of Connecticut cheerleader, former coach of the North Salem youth cheerleading team and American Association of Cheerleading Coaches and Administration safety certified coach.
