It didn't take long for the Golden Bridges Fire Department to put their new 2016 Spartan ERV Rescue Engine 138 to use after taking delivery on Monday, July 24.
The new engine, which replaces one damaged in a firehouse fire, was called into action within just a few days when a resident let firefighters know a large tree was blocking Tood Road North in Lewisboro.
Engine 138's crew loaded up and went to check on the report and sure enough, there was a very large tree blocking the roadway. The Town of Lewisboro Highway Department was notified to remove the tree.
The call marked the first alarm for the new Engine 138.
