Letter From Girl Scout Gold Award Winner DosSantos

Success is not possible without the encouragement, support, and involvement of outside forces.  It is with complete gratitude that I thank all of you for your support of my Girl Scout Gold Award Project for Pets for Vets.  In starting my project, I did not expect the outpouring of donations that I received.  My goal of creating 100 first aid kits for dogs was met and exceeded.  Extra supplies were shipped, along with the first aid kits, to five different Pets for Vets chapters within the United States.  I received supplies for the first aid kits, food and treats for the dogs, and monetary donations to supplement the supplies I needed. The support from many different local organizations, businesses, and individuals provided me with the help I needed to communicate my efforts to my local and neighboring communities.

This project will positively impact both the shelter dogs and the veterans.  Pets for Vets has benefited from the project not only with the first aid kits, but also with well-deserved recognition and awareness this charitable organization deserves.

Following the completion of my project, I presented my work to members of the Girl Scout Council and was approved for my Gold Award.  The outpouring of contributions and support overwhelmed the Girl Scout Council members.

Again, it is with my deepest gratitude that I thank you for your support through this process.

I will continue to work to sustain the recognition and support of Pets for Vets with the help of a sixth grade Girl Scout Troop I mentored during the project.  If you are considering donating to a worthy cause in the future, please remember:  Pets-for-Vets.com – and you can help our veterans and shelter dogs.
