NORTH SALEM, N.Y. -- If you are looking for something to do in the upcoming weekend here are some suggestions:

8th Annual Hudson River EagleFest

Croton Point Park, Croton-on-Hudson

Saturday, 9 a.m., continuing throughout the day (weather permitting). Teatown Lake Reservation is sponsoring a full day of activities centered on the eagle population of the Hudson Valley. There will be guided and independent viewings, bus tours, storytelling, children’s programs and activities, bird walks and displays. The suggested donation is $5 per person. Author Talk at the Library

Ruth Keeler Memorial Library, North Salem

Saturday 6 p.m. Author Joel Fishman will discuss his novel, “Primacy: a Thriller,” the story of a young animal researcher who suddenly discovers that one of her charges has the ability to speak. Publishers Weekly called the book “an appealing debut thriller” and the Kirkus Reviews said it is “more fun than a barrel of overgrown monkeys.” A book signing will follow, along with refreshments provided by the Friends of the Library. There is no charge.

Play Reading at the Schoolhouse

The Schoolhouse Theater, Croton Falls

Sunday 3 p.m. Emerging playwright Barton Kunstler will be on hand for a reading from his historical drama, “An Inquiry in Florence,” based upon an actual meeting between the poet John Milton and the aged Galileo. The event concludes with a Talk-Back, guaranteed to end in time for you to get home for the Super Bowl. Tickets are $10.

Tea at the Tavern

The Keeler Tavern Museum, Ridgefield

Saturday 3 p.m. In celebration of Charles Dickens’ bi-centennial birthday, the Keeler Tavern Museum is collaborating with the Ridgefield Library to highlight some Victorian traditions. A 19th century tea with all its accoutrements will be served in the Garden House. Tickets are $30.
