Performance Dogs Join Johnny Peers On Stage In Ridgefield

RIDGEFIELD, Conn. – Johnny Peers & The Muttville Comix brought a number of rescue dogs to entertain the audience at The Ridgefield Playhouse on Nov. 23.

Throughout the show, canines performed an array of tricks and stunts. Kids also got the opportunity to take their photos with Scooby Doo, the mascot for South Salem Animal Hospital and Noah's Ark Animal Hospital.

Ridgefield Academy underwrote this Pepsi Children’s Series production with additional support from Animal Fair Pet Shop, Ridgefield Library, Dimitri’s Diner and media sponsor 98Q. The Union Savings Bank Arts for Everyone recipient was Kids in Crisis.

A Ringling Brothers Clown College graduate, Johnny Peers has been working with dogs since he got his first puppy, Freckles, a Beagle mix, from the Humane Society in 1972. He's appeared on The David Letterman show, Primetime Live and Circus of the Stars. He has also performed at The White House.
