An actor/singer, she also dances and plays classical cello and piano.

She grew up dancing at Dance Cavise in Mamaroneck, took countless choir and orchestra classes at Mamaroneck High School and studied in New York City at Broadway Dance Center, in addition to other venues.

Currently a junior in Boston, MA studying musical theater at the Boston Conservatory, she'll be back home in December for rehearsals in Manhattan as she's been cast in the NETworks travel production of "Girl" in "Once."

This is the second national tour of the original Broadway show and required rigorous auditioning for the part.

"This is actually one of my dream roles that I hoped to play one day and I can't believe I get to do it now," she said. "This is a really special show because the cast is also the band. Everyone plays an instrument, so everyone in the cast is truly multi-talented." (She'll be playing the piano).

Lesser-Roy will be part of an ensemble traveling up and down the East Coast, as well as parts of the Midwest, LA, and Canada.

The theater student, who admits she's had stars in her eyes since as young as five, has played lead roles before, such as "Audrey" in Little Shop of Horrors and "Wendla" in Spring Awakening in regional summer theatre productions.

She'll be taking a semester off to act in the tour.

"I've always wanted to be a professional actor," she said. "I intend to do this for as long as I can because theater has the power to make an impact on peoples' lives and I want to be a part of that.

"I know that if my performance affects one person then I've done my job."
