NORTH SALEM, N.Y. – An estimated 2,126 out of 2,391 New York State Energy and Gas customers are without power in North Salem Thursday morning as of 5 a.m., down from 2,386 Wednesday morning, according to outage maps.
Officials with NYSEG could not determine Thursday morning when customers could expect power restoration.
“Our work is going to take considerable time – it is going to be a long duration event, particularly in the hardest-hit areas – but we are confident in our people and our plan,” said NYSEG officials in a press release. “We understand that being without power is inconvenient for our customers, and our goal is to restore service safely and as quickly as possible.”
More than 28,637 customers out of 32,524 total customers served by NYSEG in Westchester are out of power as of 5 a.m. Thursday.
