The university said in a release it fired James Tracy, who wrote on a blog that the shooting that killed 20 students and six educators was a hoax perpetrated by the Obama administration to push gun control legislation, said NBC Connecticut.

The school did not provide a reason for firing Tracy, an associate professor in the School of Communication and Multimedia Studies, although the parents of one student killed at Sandy Hook recently said Tracy was taunting them in a Florida newspaper opinion piece, added NBC Connecticut.
