Crews Expect To Recover Large Piece Of Crashed Plane In North Salem

NORTH SALEM, N.Y. – Crews are expecting to recover today a large piece of the plane that crashed into the Titicus Reservoir in North Salem Thursday night, according to News 12 Westchester.

The piece was discovered using sonar during a search Saturday, and divers put a buoy on it to bring it to the surface.

The single-engine Beechcraft carrying Val and Taew Horsa, of North Salem, disappeared from radar on approach to Danbury Airport, reported News 12 Westchester.

Authorities still are investigating the cause of the crash.
