Disabled Train Near Purdys Caused AM Delays On Harlem Line

NORTH SALEM, N.Y. – A Wednesday morning Metro-North Harlem Line train that left Grand Central at 7:51 a.m. became disabled around 10 a.m. in Purdys and waited about a half hour until a rescue train picked up the remaining passengers.

The train was supposed to have completed its run by 9:27 a.m. at its final destination in Southeast.

As a result, Metro-North Harlem Line trains experienced delays of up to 15 minutes. The MTA reported that trains on the Harlem Line were operating on schedule by 10:50 a.m.
