NOERTH SALEM, N.Y. - Walter Holubis, a 1968 graduate of North Salem High School, passed away unexpectedly on August 29. He was 61 years old.
Mr. Holubis served with the U. S. Army in Vietnam from 1969 to 1971. For 34 years he worked as a detective for the White Plains Police Department. After retirement, he became the Assistant Safety Director for the White Plains Bus Company.
He is survived by his wife, Christine, his daughters, Karen of New Fairfield, CT and Kristin Piccini of Brewster, his son, Michael, of Mamaroneck and two brothers, James of Danbury, CT and Basil of North Salem.
The burial will be at Peach Pond Cemetery in North Salem at 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 3.

I'm sad to hear of Walter's death. He worked for my Dad at June Farm Nursery during the 70's. I have great memories of him and send my heartfelt condolences to Chris, his children, and his brothers Jim and Billy.
