At approximately 3:30 a.m. on Tuesday, July 5, police were dispatched to a local hospital, where a victim reported that she had been sexually offended, Yonkers Police Sgt. Dean Politopoulos said.

The woman told police that she was at a house party in the northwest section of the city to celebrate the holiday, where she was allegedly assaulted by Gustavo Bravo.

On Friday, Westchester County District Attorney Anthony Scarpino, Jr. announced that Bravo, 31, has been sentenced to six years probation and will have to register as a sex offender in Westchester after pleading guilty to the charge on Oct. 30 last year.

Bravos is scheduled for a Sex Offender Registry Act hearing on July 17, when a judge will designate whether he is a level two or three offender.
