The charity was profiled on CNN's Champions for Change program by reporter John Berman. Friends of Karen provides one-on-one support for families caring for a child with a life-threatening illness in the tri-state area.

Champions for Change is a program that sends CNN and HLN anchors out in the field to spend time working with the people and causes that are close to their hearts.
