The NY State Department of Transportation (DOT) has announced a plan for double lane closures between Exit 8 (Hardscrabble Road) and Exit 10 (US 6/202) beginning on Tuesday. Maintenance crews will be doing repairs to the bridges that span the highway. Heavy delays are expected.
DOT said to anticipate lane closures from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., weather permitting. The work is expected to be completed by Friday.
Motorists are asked to drive cautiously through work zones and pay special attention to traffic control devices, including signs and flaggers. DOT reminds drivers that fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone and two convictions can result in suspension of a drivers license.
