Lake Carmel Woman's Body Found Near Home

LAKE CARMEL, N.Y. -- The body of a 53-year-old Lake Carmel woman was found near her home early Saturday morning, according to Kent Police.

The body of Karen Goos was discovered by police on Barrett Hill Rod shortly after midnight Saturday, according to police. The discovery came following a 911 call from Goos' mother, the police said.

The site where Goos' body was found is near her home, according to police. It is not known how Goos died.
