The county said on Wednesday that Lasdon Park won a Historical/Cultural Award by the National Association of County Park and Recreation Officials (NACPRO), specifically for an exhibit on the Vietnam War at its veterans' museum.

Lasdon Park also won the Matt Dolan Innovative Program Award and Grant from the Westchester Recreation and Parks Society (WRAPS) due to its Halloween train show, the county also stated.

Meanwhile, the county noted that Muscoot Farm was named "Best Bargain Birthday Party" by Westchester Magazine for its "Best of Westchester" series.

“With 50 parks and recreational areas on over 18,000 acres of parkland, County Parks serves more than three million visitors annually,” Westchester County Executive Rob Astorino said in a statement. “Kudos to the Parks Department staff for developing creative and innovative recreational opportunities that help to make Westchester such a great place to live.”
