The former Dutchess County resident was going to sing with his band on his monthly free webcast, “Live from Daryl’s House,” but was advised by doctors to save his voice while he is dealing with the medical issue, the Poughkeepsie Journal reported.

Hall -- who founded the band Hall & Oates with singer John Oates -- is expected to make a full recovery, the Poughkeepsie Journal article said.

Among the band's top hits of the 1970s are "Sara Smile," "She's Gone," "Rich Girl," "Kiss on my List" and "Private Eyes."
