North Salem Could See Overnight Snow As Bitter Cold Grips Area

With temperatures plummeting, parts of the area could see some snow overnight, according to the National Weather Service.

Scattered snow showers are expected to start sometime in the afternoon, potentially lasting through the day and overnight as the chances of precipitation are 50 percent.

Temps are expected to stay in the 30s all day, with a low of 23 overnight.

Monday will be more of the same, as snow showers are a possibility through the day. The Weather Service estimates chances of precipitation are between 20 and 30 percent.

Temps will be bitterly cold, as the high on Monday is expected to be between 25 and 28 degrees with wind chills making it feel like it's between 10 and 20 degrees. Overnight will see temps dip to around 15.

As the clouds and snow showers clear out on Tuesday, temps will stay frigid. While it will be sunny on Tuesday, winds will kick up in the range of 20-25 mph, ensuring the thermometer won't get out of the 20s.

The rest of the week will be sunny and not as windy, as both Wednesday and Thursday will feature sun and daytime temps in the 30s.
