- A 1-year-old girl, identified as Aniyah Daley of the Bronx, died as the result of a car crash on the northbound Sprain Brook Parkway in Yonkers. The crash led to a vehicle fire that closed the northbound Sprain for more than two hours.
- The 20-year-old gunman who killed 20 children and six educators at Sandy Hook Elementary School acted alone, according to a report released Monday by the state of Connecticut following its 11-month investigation.
- It's lights, camera, action as North Salem seniors produce a weekly newscast that started out as organized chaos for the nine North Salem High School seniors that produce “TGI Tiger News,” the school’s weekly news show.
