NORTH SALEM, N.Y. – The North Salem School District has announced that all schools in the district will be closed on Friday, due to the snowfall.

The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning for this area,  predicting possible accumulations of six to 12 inches of snow, with temperatures in the upper 20s.

Driving will be difficult because of accumulating snow on roadways and low visibility. Gusty winds could lead to a few down trees and power outages.
