Oh No, North Salem, More Snow's On The Way For Saturday

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- After digging out from more than a foot of snow that fell across Westchester County in Thursday’s Nor’easter, it’s time to prepare for more of the white stuff this weekend.

Snow should start sometime after 9 a.m. Saturday in Westchester County.

Friday afternoon’s sun and wind will give way to clouds and temperatures in the low 20s by evening, with a chance of overnight snow and black ice on the roads, the National Weather Service said.

Snow is likely by morning, mainly between 9 a.m. and noon Saturday. New accumulation of between 2 to 3 inches is likely, with some areas likely to get 4 inches or more, particular toward the coast.

It will be a deep freeze Saturday night, as temperatures will dip into the low teens with wind chill values as low as zero with winds of 15 to 17 mph and gusts as high as 29 mph. With a 50 percent chance of snow, another inch could fall in the evening.

There is a slight chance of snow flurries Sunday afternoon and evening with high temperatures in the 20s and strong winds. Night-time temperatures will dip into the single digits.

Presidents Day will be sunny with high temperatures near 25. Snow is likely after midnight. There is a 50 percent chance of snow Tuesday.

But Wednesday and Thursday will be partly sunny, with highs in the mid-40s, which could begin to melt the icy snowpack.
