WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- New York State Police issued 68 tickets during a distracted driving detail on Interstate 684 on Wednesday, June 25, police officials said. 

Troopers issued 23 tickets for speeding, 14 tickets for cell phone use, 13 for seatbelt violations and 18 tickets for other violations, state police said.

You would think someone could find away that would turn phones off once the car is put into drive. To may people text and talk, that's all they know how to do, just watch them walking.

That's not enough tickets for cell phone drivers! Let's get on the ball and try harder!!!! Also those speeding tickets need to be worked on, please!!!!!!!

Really? And only 14 cell phone tickets? So, the "distracted driving detail "was a flop.

Less driving, more attention while driving.

I've noticed that folks are regularly in the wrong lane and holding phones while driving. Is there an app out there that locks your phone while you drive? Wouldn't that be great to remove the temptation? Maybe just leave the map function working while the car is in motion.
