What to Do With the Kids This Weekend

Learn to Fish - Ages 8-14

SATURDAY, 10 a.m. - 3 p.m., Veterans Memorial Park, Gipsy Trail Road (off Route 301) Carmel

Have you ever enjoyed the nibble of a fish at the end of your line? Would you like to find out how to do it? Children are invited to go, rain or shine, to learn from the experts.

The group is limited to 100 entries (previous participants are not eligible). Call to reserve your place.

Wolf Chat - Ages 4-8

SATURDAY, 2 p.m., Wolf Conservation Center, Route 35, South Salem

Learn about wolves, their personalities and their role in nature, and some of the myths that surround them. Though the program is geared toward children, adults will probably be just as engrossed!

Fun for the whole family! Events include kayaking demonstrations, fly-fishing lessons, talks about hawks and owls and river critters and performances of African drumming and dance.
