- Polar Time at the Library

Saturday 10:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. A totally Polar Story Time with animal tales and a craft. Children of all ages are invited. There is no charge.
- Wimpy Kid Party
Ruth Keeler Memorial Library, North Salem
Saturday 2 p.m. If your kid is a fan of Wimpy Kid diaries, drop into the library to celebrate the release of Cabin Fever, the sixth in the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series. There will be trivia questions, games, prizes and more. For children 8-years old and older. There is no charge.
- A Long Story Short
Ridgefield Playhouse, Ridgefield, CT
Friday 8 p.m. A one-man comedy show featuring the sharp and incisive satire of Colin Quinn. The show is directed by Jerry Seinfeld. Go over to the Bissell House, 378 Main St., Ridgefield, after the show to celebrate The Great Guinness Toast at 11 p.m. There is a free pint of Guinness for anyone with a Colin Quinn ticket stub. Tickets for the show are $80.
- Hockey Weekend Across America
Saturday, 10:20 a.m. The Brewster Ice Arena is again participating in USA Hockeys annual Hockey Weekend Across America. The celebration goes on all weekend, but the highlight comes on Saturday when boys and girls ages four through nine can have a free hour of on-ice instruction, to introduce them to the sport. Advance registration is required.
