Tuesday, April 24

Story Time at the Farm: 1 p.m. - 1 :30 p.m. People of all ages are invited to relax and listen to different stories of farm adventures. Muscoot Farm, Route 100, 1 1/2 miles south of Route 35, Somers.

Croton Creek Tasting Menu: Fried oyster spinach salad, crisped striped bass and braised beef shank are among the items on this special tasting menu. Croton Creek Steakhouse & Wine Bar, 4 West Cross St., Croton Falls.

Community Mural Celebration: 6:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. The mural composed of puzzle pieces created by North Salem Middle School eighth graders is now on display at the Brewster Sports Center, Waterview Hills, Salinger’s Orchards, Kingsley’s, the Pequenakonck Elementary School and North Salem Middle/High School. Come to the lobby of the Middle/High School, 230 June Road, to celebrate the opening and learn more about the project.

North Salem Town Board Meeting: 7:30 p.m. The town board will meet in the Town Hall Annex at 274 Titicus Road, North Salem.

North Salem Board of Education Meeting: 7:30 p.m. The board will meet in the North Salem Middle/High School Library, 230 June Road, North Salem.

Writers’ Workshop: 11 a.m. Under the guidance of Pam Pooley, anyone interested in writing is invited to drop in. Ruth Keeler Memorial Library, 276 Titicus Road, North Salem.

Somers Lions Club Carnival: The carnival is back. Rides start at 6 p.m. Wednesday through Friday and at 1 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. The carnival begins April 25 and continues until April 29. Go to the Somers Lions Club website for a $5 coupon to be used toward an all-you-can-ride wristband. Fireman’s Field, Route 202, Somers.

How to Publish Your Book: 7 p.m. Susan Koch will moderate a workshop on strategies for getting published and selling your books. The workshop takes place at the Ruth Keeler Memorial Library, 276 Titicus Road, North Salem.
