Science Symposium: 7-9 p.m. The symposium takes place at the Middle/High School at 230 June Road, North Salem.

Wednesday, May 30

Middle School Athletic Awards: 7 p.m. The ceremony will be at North Salem Middle School at 230 June Road.

Thursday, May 31

North Salem Middle/High School Art Show: 7 p.m. As part of the Showcase of Excellence, the creative work of students in grades six through 12 will be displayed in the Art and Technology Gallery. An award ceremony in recognition of the program will follow at 8 p.m. The Middle/High School is at 230 June Road, North Salem.

High School Academic Awards: 8 p.m. The ceremony will be at North Salem High School at 230 June Road.

200 Years of Dickens: 7 p.m. A discussion of Dickens’ “Hard Times” will be led by the Ruth Keeler Library’s Director, Carolyn Reznick. This is the third in the library’s three-part series of Dickens book discussions. The celebration of Dickens’ bi-centenary (1812 - 2012) culminates June 3 with a lecture by Professor Ilja Wachs, author of “Dickens: The Orphan Condition.” The Ruth Keeler Memorial Library is at 276 Titicus Road, North Salem.

Twelfth Night: Shakespeare’s “Twelfth Night” continues at the Schoolhouse Theater. Penny Cherns, head of the classical acting department at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art, came across the big pond to direct the play. Performances are Thursdays through Sundays until June 10. Tickets are $33 Thursdays and Fridays, $35 Saturdays and Sundays. EVN Foundation Fundraiser: The year's biggest fundraiser for the Erik Vincent Nicoletti Film Production & Broadcast Studio Foundation has begun.
