Amelia Collabolletta, 100, Of Croton Falls

CROTON FALLS, N.Y. -  Amelia “Mimi” Collabolletta, lifelong resident of Croton Falls, died Thursday, June 27. She was 100.

Collabolletta was born March 24, 1913, in Northy Tarrytown (now Sleepy Hollow), a daughter of Augusta and Angelina (Bocchino) Collabolletta. She attended North Salem public schools. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Church, Croton Falls.

She worked for Reader's Digest in Pleasantville, for more than 31 years in the mail order department before retiring.

Collabolletta is survived by her niece Nancy A. Corsi of Croton Falls; nephew, Roger Paro of Fishkill; and four grandnieces. She was predeceased by six sisters and a brother.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Tuesday, July 2, at St. Joseph’s Church, Croton Falls. Burial will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Somers. A private cremation will occur prior to the Mass. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to the American Cancer Society and/or the American Heart Association.
