Lt. Michael Neuner died in the line of duty while battling an early morning house fire. According to the department, Neuner was a true public servant, in addition to being a Brewster firefighter, he was also a Peekskill police officer.
His children carry on his legacy of public service.
Residents are invited to visit the memorial in his name outside fire headquarters on Main Street.
