Conley was born April 20, 1947, in the Bronx, N.Y., to the late Anthony and Hannah Bainton Saltarelli. She was married to James J. Conley, who died Nov. 24, 1998. Conley lived in North Salem and Carmel, N.Y., for more than 20 years before moving to North Stonington, Conn., nine years ago.
She worked as an administrative assistant for Pfizer in Groton, Conn. She enjoyed kayaking, camping and walks along the beach, collecting seashells and sea glass. Conley took great pride in her position as a soccer mom and enjoyed her volunteer work, her family said. She also loved horses.
Conley is survived by a daughter, Dana Conley Russo, of Poughquag; three sons, Jason Conley, of Stormville, N.Y., Shawn Conley, of Bedford Hills, and Justin Conley, of Carmel; two stepchildren, Paul Conley, of Maynard, Mass., and Richard Conley, of Croton Falls; two siblings, Louis Saltarelli, of Peekskill, and Carolyn DeMarsico, of Orangeburg, N.Y.; and four grandchildren.
Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Beecher Funeral Home in Brewster. A private cremation was held earlier.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
